Want to translate songs without relying on AI? Join us at Studio 12 for a hands-on workshop focused on rhyme, meter, and syntax. You will learn easy, reliable methods to translate almost any song into another language while preserving its original meaning and musicality.
What to bring: a pen and a notebook, your favorite songs (with lyrics, or just instrumentals), your ideas and works in progress.
About the facilitator Kristen: Italian and British-Jamaican, Kristen grew up in Friuli. While studying Philosophy, she bonded with indigenous and farmer communities practicing food, water and cultural sovereignty. She sings the resistance for people’s lands and spirits, exploring genres. A human pollinator, her dream is to nurture realities where soil and souls thrive.
Kristen is our 3rd artist in Residency as part of A Door to Experimentation Programme.

'A Door to Experimentation' brings together three emerging artists who are expanding their practice from traditional folk music into experimental, collaborative and cross-disciplinary music-making. Throughout the residency, they are mentored by Patricia Doors, exploring new approaches to sound, performance and creative exchange.
