Majlis 3: Envisioning alternative futures

Join us on Tuesday the 1st of September from 6-8:30pm @houseofannetta for a creative workshop on building and imagining alternative futures.
In the face of climate existentialism, extreme weather conditions, and the breakdown of democratic systems, we are left to imagine alternatives to the state-sanctioned vision. Guided by PhD researcher Joely Thomas (@envisioning_alternatives) we seek to journey forward to that imagined future, using explorative group work, writing, and other creative exercises to seek renewed political answers to the current moment. We will look to utopian literature and magical realism for inspiration, drawing from the writing of South Asian and global majority thinkers.
