The Reopening of Losing A Home by Paul Majek

We are delighted to announce the reopening of Losing A Home, a solo exhibition by @paul_majek , curated by @ritamajek of @m0ji.hq , as part of the @whitechapelgallery Backyard Biennial: East.
Following an incredible first run, we’re honoured to bring the exhibition back from 20–28 July 2026, giving those who were unable to experience it the first time another opportunity to step inside this deeply personal exploration of memory, home and belonging.
Through layered paintings, sculptural installations and personal archives, Losing A Home explores the emotional and spiritual weight of displacement, where physical absence merges with inner dislocation. Set within the domestic architecture of @houseofannetta , the exhibition transforms the space into an immersive environment where sound, scent, light, family objects and archival memories come together to extend the conversations within the artworks.
To celebrate the exhibition’s final week, we warmly invite you to LOSING A HOME: THE FINISSAGE on Friday 24 July, 6–9pm. An evening marking the close of the exhibition with friends, conversation and reflection. We’d love to see you there!
