Keyboardist, producer and improviser Dan Nicholls––who has worked with Alabaster De Plume, Matthew Herbert, Dali De Saint Paul, Shabaka, Goldie, Saint Abdullah and many more––invites a group of friends for a one-off gig in the intimate space downstairs at Total Refreshment Centre.
Dan will be joined by one of the world's most dazzling and creative percussionists, Dudù Kouate (Moor Mother, Art Ensemble of Chicago) and Seb Rochford (Patti Smith, Brian Eno), Cypher Alexander plus secret guests.
As an versatile and boundary-pushing musician, Dan embraces sound as a tool for liberation, healing and joyful communion. Intricately crafting sound worlds which invite listeners to explore both other-worldly perceptions and the grounding and embodying nature of sound and movement, their work deeply considers how sonic (and other) gestures might facilitate forms of resistance, unity and deeper understanding. Dan co-curates the event series Free Movements.
