Deptford Dub Club: Return to the Source

Saturday, June 6, 2026 · 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Piehouse Co-Op

213-214 Edward Place

London

Deptford Dub Club are thrilled to be coming back to the source; this will be our first session in Deptford for 9 years. So chuffed are we, that we’re pulling out all of the stops for this session at the Piehouse Co-op. Hold tight for at least 7 hours of music of Jamaican origin, presented in Soundsystem style, for FREE. All of our selectors were participants in the Club when it was resident in the hood.

Ras Danny Dread
(AKA Ras Danny Mosiah) will be putting the needle to the groove on the wheels of steel, to close the show. Widely known through his work with the monumental Jah Shaka Soundsystem, over many decades. One of our closest amigos, his sets are always wicked.

Soft Wax
Roots Reggae selector since the mid 70s; he remembers the music being life changing. Since then he has plied his craft sporadically across London town, around the country and across the Herring Pond. He’s familiar to regulars at Deptford Dub Club, where he has been the resident selector for a decade and a half. For this session he’ll be focusing on militant Roots; his sets are always stirring.

Natty Nick
The club delighted to welcome the vibrant Nick back to select. He’s been a regular of the Club since its inception; more broadly, he’s a well-established figure on the South Eastern Reggae scene.

Duppy Sista Sound
To start the afternoon we will be welcoming the young lionesses Duppy Sista Sound to the wheels of steel. Expect a carefully chosen selection from Sista Jaz, she tears the place down with her selections and always plays up a storm.

Resident soundsystem L.A.D.S will be pulling out all the stops for the occasion, bringing out their system for the first time since the fateful halloween flood.
