Gritty and effervescent, Dirar Kalash's experimental music is known to be transcendental and deeply embodied. An extraordinary Palestinian sound artist, Kalash pushes boundaries in his sonic work with a vast repertoire of collaborations, including artists such as Nicolas Jaar. For this series, he invites:
MAY 13 - BARBIE MUKODA - Flautist and improvised blending classical and experimental sound worlds through tone and silence.
MAY 22 - MARYSIA OSU - Harpist, producer, and composer who blends classical, ambient, and electronic music.
MAY 27 - ROXANNA ALBAYATI - Cellist & artist blending experimental music with cross-cultural improvisation and multimedia performance.
Studio 12 is an intimate art space with a custom sound system & cocktail bar in Camberwell, London. It's dedicated to art, music, poetry and film, rooted in transnational solidarities.
