Ottomani Parker is a band where it's hard to know where one number ends and the other begins.
With Big Hands on samples, field recordings, rhythm, and fx, sounds are hallucinatory and effective. Yusuf Ahmed on the drums brings both fluidity and a trippy grid to the horns. Izz and Abraham Parker on Sax and trumpet, respectively, hold your hand through what seems to be a field of endless sunshine, buttery melodies bring you home. Buster Woodruff-Bryant on sax, whistles and an endlessly rebellious challenge bringing everyone onstage both together and apart. Hayato Takahashi resamples, bringing noisy responsive dynamic textures and historically informed observations on keys to the function - as you do. Phoebe Coco on the essential trinket line-up of special bells, curated keyboard sounds, a crunchy wooden collection of curiosities and environmental echoes. Bint Mbareh assembles the crew together at Vesper's for the first time - throwing in smoky vocals discounted for your ears only.
We really recommend you don't miss this special lineup of class-A bunnies. Big Hands was so excited he even hand drew the poster himself.
