Private Funktion is glad to announce its 4th instalment, this time at the glorious Club Cheek in Brixton on Friday 6th November. Found under victorian railway arches, Club Cheek is one of London’s best DIY clubs, kitted out with a custom built four-way sound system.
We’ll be joined by Nina Yamada, DJ and Founder of Jazzy Sport London, Nina began DJing at a young age, developing a distinctive sound shaped by years of digging and listening, her sets fluidly cross a range of different genres. From playing Berghain to opening up for Theo Parrish at We Out Here, Nina’s solidified herself on the international circuit.
Offie Mag DJs / Off Licence Magazine aka ‘Offie Mag’ is an independent UK-based print publication and platform focused on underground music and culture. The last time I asked these guys to play some tunes they had Brian Jackson turning his head asking for the track ID. He got the ID and a copy of the latest mag, nice touch guys. Their sets have no boundaries and anything is on the table, guaranteed to make you shake a leg
Hiren Parmar of Opposite People and host of the Small Moments Breakfast Show on Voices Radio is deeply embedded in London’s music culture. Expect music from every corner of the world, left-field soul and rare cuts.
Eman Pav aka Emanuel Pavlova of Private Funktion and weekly resident at Moonrays will also take to the decks. Expect anything from Molly Nilsson to Yugo Breaks to Salsa to Techno, anything goes.
It’s a real luxury to share the occasion with everyone on the line up and set the scene for the night. We’ll have a very limited amount of early bird tickets available.
Once again, Friday 6th November, 11pm onwards. Club Cheek is the place to be.
