Deptford Junction Presents: Half Star, Itsmyluckyday, Middle Child

Half Star - London-based trio Half Star offer a warm, heady mix of alternative rock and folk forms. Their melodies come as if instinct, with hypnotic vocals ghosting over jangling guitar riffs and drums.

itsmyluckyday - Traversing the boundaries of folk, rock and electronic synths, their music exists in a place somewhere between dreamingh and waking. Born out of an impromptu late night studio session, itsmyluckyday is the brainchild of Rafi George and Die Katze.

Middle Child - Neither the first born nor the last, Middle Child is the creation of South London guitarist Chucho Ajene. Rooted in experimental jazz and punk, Ajene’s guitar work moves amongst electronic swells and underlying synths. Debut single Splendid marks the first introduction to Middle Child and a project still finding out exactly where it sits.
