This Friday <3 Join us for Kristen Gasparini’s Residency Showcase, marking the culmination of her journey as the second artist in Studio 12’s Residency Programme: A Door to Experimentation.
After two weeks of research, experimentation and creative development, Kristen will present her first solo live performance, offering an insight into the ideas, sounds and discoveries that have emerged throughout her residency.
Kristen is an Italian and British-Jamaican and grew up in Friuli. While studying Philosophy, she bonded with indigenous and farmer communities practicing food, water and cultural sovereignty. She sings the resistance for people’s lands and spirits, exploring genres. A human pollinator, her dream is to nurture realities where soil and souls thrive.

A Door to Experimentation brings together three emerging artists who are expanding their practice from traditional folk music into experimental, collaborative and cross-disciplinary music-making. Throughout the residency, they are mentored by Patricia Doors, exploring new approaches to sound, performance and creative exchange.
