Joseph Wood

Producer, dancer and Aaja Radio co-manager Joseph Wood explores the relationship between rhythm, movement and collective experience. Drawing on a background in theatre and a long-standing fascination with dance cultures, his sets are made up almost entirely of original music, spanning afro-industrial club tracks, percussive experiments and atmospheric compositions made to entrance and inspire dyonisian frenzy. Joseph Wood has spent the last few years releasing numerous EPs and a couple of albums which centre around African rhythmic complexity, inspired by music traditions such as Samba, Soca, Coupé Décale and Singeli.
